We have to be flexible with this Covid 19 challenge, so each month is a new adventure.  We are supported by Save-In foods, Wild Poppy, Tim Hortons, Oyster Bay A & W, as well as St. Philips , Town of Ladysmith Grant-in Aide, Ladysmith Hospital Auxiliary,  and St Johns Masons. 

The cooks keep social distancing, and wear masks during prep. The clients do not enter the building- I hand their dinner out the door and they pick it up outside. 

In March we served 51 meals (Take out style) , most to the food bank clients, some to other street people. That’s the same for Jan & Feb. we took a break for April due to Covid 19 concerns. In May we served 50 meals, but only 20 at the door, the rest went to food bank and street people through harm reduction team. 

The meal in May was deli meats (roast beef, corn beef & chicken)  and 3 salads : macaroni, broccoli, and potato with buns and cake and grapes. Also we gave out home sewn face masks and cherry tomato plants and bottled water.
